History of #5amWritersClub
Like most writers, co-founder Jay Spencer was desperate to find time to actually write. So after a few DM’s on Twitter between Jay and Heidi Schultz a year and a half ago, the #5amWritersClub was born. Today, it’s the home to a dedicated group of writers who cheer each other on when it’s needed, and pass donuts around when they’re hungry.(BTW Check the #5amWritersClub hashtag to find a fantastic group of people to follow on Twitter.)
What IS #5amWritersClub now?
With so many writers up at the crack of dawn, we had to expand. So we do two sprints every weekday, and some weekends between 5:00am and 6:30am EST. Depending on the sprint leader, there will usually be a third sprint from 6:30-7:00am. The time to start each sprint will be posted by the main account, @5amWritersClub, so make sure to follow us.
Can I join #5amWritersClub?
As long as you have caffeine and donuts to share, you’re in. All you have to do is follow @5amWritersClub and Tweet with the hashtag #5amWritersClub so everyone can find you.
